A New Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants Movie Is Being Developed!

Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants

Warner Bros

Stop everything you’re doing right now, loves, and gather ’round. I’ve got such exciting news I don’t know if I’ll be able to contain myself. I just got word that a film adaptation of Ann Brashares’ Sisterhood Everlasting is being developed for the big screen! That’s right–the final novel in the beloved Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants series (where we first met Blake Lively) is being made into a movie. Does this mean that B could be reprising her role as Bridget? Casting isn’t confirmed right now, but I’ll be crossing my perfectly polished fingers in hopes that she’ll be involved.

The story will pick up years after the girls have parted ways. In the book, Carmen is now a successful New York actress and is engaged. Bridget is living in San Francisco with her long time boyfriend, Eric, but can’t seem to just settle down. Lena’s taking solace in her art and teaching in Rhode Island, but she can’t help but wonder about the road she hadn’t taken with Kostos. Tibby buys them all plane tickets so the girls can come together again, and their reunion will change each of them in ways they could never have ever anticipated.

Are you so excited about this news, minions? Did you love the Sisterhood movies when you were younger? Tell me which character you related to the most! XOXO

PS- Find out about Ann’s other book–the newly released The Here and Now–that’s being made into a movie too!
